Young children (ages 4–7) need their own special environment where they can meet and worship God and be prepared to join in the full life of the worshipping congregation through interaction with the stories of the Bible.
This class is developed around the order of worship at Tabernacle Church: gathering in God’s name, hearing and responding to God’s Word, giving thanks, and departing with a blessing.
The classroom is arranged for storytelling, art, and other rituals like offering and prayer. Children are encouraged to bring a coin or canned good for the offering. Parents are always welcome to join their children for Young Children and Worship, but we especially encourage parents to accompany their young one during their first time attending.
The focus of this program is on wondering and exploring stories. Parents can continue the class experience by asking about the story, their questions, and the classroom rituals. Taught by a team of trained volunteer teachers.
